Miceala Morano (she/her) is a poet, editor, and journalist from the Ozarks. Miceala is currently serving as the 2022-23 Bob and Ruth Shipley Honors College Fellow at the University of Arkansas, where she is working towards a B.A. in Journalism. 

Her literary work appears or is set to appear in Up The Staircase Quarterly, Berkeley Fiction Review, Kissing Dynamite Poetry, Gone Lawn, Pidgeonholes, and more. Her work has been nominated for Best Small Fictions and recognized by the Poetry Society of The United Kingdom, the Alliance of Young Artists and Writers, Ringling College of Art and Design, and more. 

Her journalistic work is published in the University of Arkansas' award-winning student newspaper, the Arkansas Traveler. For the Traveler, she has covered stories surrounding local nonprofits, activist movements, and the Northwest Arkansas literary community.
